Why we changed from Reconstituted Stone (Engineered Stone)
As you may have been aware, there has been an industry wide wake-up call to the adverse effects that engineered stone and silica can have on the human body. At Kitchens U Build, we take our commitment to safety as an utmost priority, so we have ceased all supplies of reconstituted & engineered stone. Teaming up with our supplier, Stone Ambassador, we now offer Zenith Surfaces as a stone option for all our kitchen and laundry projects.
What are Zenith Surfaces?
Zenith Surfaces are classified as a Vitrified Compact Surface (VCS)
meaning that every slab of Zenith Surfaces undergoes a process partially transforming the core material into a non-crystalline, amorphous glass-like structure. Zenith Surfaces use 89% recycled material and are 100% crystalline silica free, the perfect replacement for engineered stone.
